Momentm welcomes Kris Lyon as their new Senior Business Development Manager. With nearly 14 years of experience in the NEMT industry, Kris most recently worked at Lane Transit District (LTD) as the Human Services Transportation Coordinator, where she was responsible for the management of operations of RideSource, LTD’s integrated one call center focusing on ADA Paratransit and NEMT Brokerage services.
Kris and her husband live in Veneta, Oregon. She is an avid University of Oregon sports fan, living just 20 miles from the school (as well as an active alumnus – GO DUCKS!). Let’s learn more about her work here at Momentm:
-
What is something NEMT organizations have to deal with that you want to fix?
I relish the opportunity to guide organizations to provide the best service they can for their users and showing them how NovusMed (Momentm’s NEMT software) can improve their operations to work smarter rather than harder.
-
What do you do at Momentm?
My role really is to develop strong connections and be a thought leader within the NEMT industry. To do that, I provide education and support to Momentm staff and customers as well as reach out to colleagues in the industry to share my knowledge
-
What’s your background?
I am an education junkie having 2 Bachelor’s degrees plus an MBA. Most recently, I was the contract manager for Lane Transit District’s One Call Integrated service known as RideSource. In that role, I was a power user of the NovusMed software which has already been useful in the few weeks I have been at Momentm. Prior to that I was the Brokerage Manager for RideSource, and if I go even further back, I spent many years as a community social worker.
-
What do you like about working at Momentm?
I have been so welcomed by everyone! I enjoy being able to share my knowledge and experience in the industry to improve services.
-
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?
I actually play amateur competitive steel tip darts! Also, I enjoy crafting, baking, reading, and spending time with my 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 9 grandchildren. Right now, it’s a lot of FaceTime!
